In this position, your tasks could include:

  • Master planning; research; calculations; preparing detailed design plans and specifications of utility water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, grading and drainage, roadway design; permitting; erosion and sediment control; site layout; rehabilitation of systems; and retrofits.

  • Some field work and travel may be involved associated with planning and construction support services.

  • Our Phoenix office is a Global Resource Center, providing design support services to the Western United States and projects world-wide. You could be a member of a team developing essential water and wastewater infrastructure on some of our most exciting projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

A successful CDM Smith candidate will have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience since B.S in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • E.I.T. Is required but if you do not have your certification, you would have 18 months to take the FE Exam.

  • Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Microstation, 3D drafting).

  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
