We currently provide owners agent services around the world with over 300 working full-time professionals who use world-class program controls, processes, and tools.

CDM Smith is pursuing a Senior Construction Representative 1 to join our established team of accomplished professionals.

As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:

  • Overseeing construction work to ensure compliance with design documents.

  • Interpreting construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.

  • Preparing related reports (such as Daily Inspection Reports) and maintaining required reports of daily construction activities.

  • Preparing job-related correspondence.

  • Informing manager of specific problems and completion schedules.

  • Recommending solutions to specific construction problems.

  • Reviewing and approving (if necessary) monthly contractor pay estimates.

  • Reviewing change orders.

  • Providing technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Reviewing the work of more junior staff.

  • Performing other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.

  • 8 years of related experience.

  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.

  • Intermediate knowledge of arithmetic.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn new computer, smartphone or related applications and programs.

  • Advanced knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.

  • Ability to read, understand, interpret and explain construction plans and drawings, contract provisions, and specifications.

  • Advanced knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.

Consumer Report, Investigative Consumer Report and Drug Testing Information:

CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require consumer reports or investigative consumer reports containing information about you in connection with your application for employment. Additional Compensation:

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

Successful candidate will be required to work 100% in the field locations.

Driver's License Requirements:

An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.

Pay Range Minimum:

$82,817

Pay Range Maximum:

$132,538
