In addition to our many active and on-going projects, CDM Smith was just selected for multiple large, multimillion-dollar design projects with INDOT including $1M+ in bridge design and a large on-call contract that will see assignments rolling in very soon! We were also just selected as a major partner on the design team for I-69 Section 6, Segment 1, which includes multiple bridges, an interchange and several miles of roadway. Additionally, we also have a few other roadway design projects that are about to get underway!

Our office is growing, and we offer a unique opportunity for two (2) ambitious junior engineers to gain great experience, take on challenging responsibilities and develop as leaders. Your contributions will help impact our continued growth in the Indiana market. We are very busy and have a lot of opportunity for you to learn and grow with us!

Some of your responsibilities will include:

•Supporting several new and ongoing Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) design projects as well as other roadway and transit projects

•Managing tasks on larger projects or phases of smaller projects

•Working with MicroStation and/or InRoads/GEOPAK to prepare design and construction plans

•Learning project management and quality management processes

•Developing external client interaction and marketing skills

Minimum Qualifications:

A successful CDM Smith candidate will have:

•B.S. in Civil Engineering or related Engineering degree

•3 to 5 years of experience in transportation design

•E.I.T. or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Proficiency in MicroStation/InRoads/GEOPAK and Microsoft programs

Preferred Qualifications:

•Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana or the ability to obtain registration within 12 months

•Experience working with INDOT and familiarity with INDOT standards and specifications
