CDM Smith Senior IT Business Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

Under general supervision, the Senior IT Business Analyst designs, develops and implements basic to moderately complex Information Technology (IT) business systems. Provides user and application support for escalated IT issues.
As a member of the Business Technology – Project Management Office, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
IT Architecture Projects:
Under light supervision, plans, designs, develops and implements basic to highly complex single unit and firm-wide IT architecture projects. Executes project tasks against an established project schedule, reviews ongoing project status with IT management and identifies unexpected key events. Maintains client relationships.
Provides user and application support of escalated IT issues as defined by the group’s incident and prioritization processes.
Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering:
Performs requirements gathering, system design, prototyping, system integration testing, system installation and deployment of business system(s) Specializes in a specific, large program/system or provides general support for a wide variety of programs/systems, if required.
Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior staff on project work. Provide advice in area of expertise outside of the business analysis group.
Performs other duties as required.

CDM Smith Employment Type:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems.
Experience: 5 years of related experience.
•Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
•Good interpersonal skills.
•Solid knowledge of architecture frameworks.
•Strong problem-solving skills.
•Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Visio.
•Expert ability to understand technical and managerial materials
Travel: Domestic and international travel required.
Environmental Factors: Daily exposure to computer screens for extended periods of time.
